Detroit, MI – MVP Executive Search & Development is pleased to announce Steven Blaine as the new Executive Director of Revenue Cycle for Wayne State University Physician Group.
Wayne State University Physician Group (WSUPG) is a nonprofit multi-specialty faculty practice with more than 400 primary care and specialty physicians in a wide array of medical and surgical specialties. WSUPG physicians diagnose and treat some of the most complex medical cases in the state. The intrinsic link between high quality patient care, medical research, and training the next generation of physicians allows WSUPG to advance medicine in the metropolitan Detroit community and beyond.
Since 2009, Steve has held multiple roles with Tenet Physician Resources. Most recently, he was based in Chicago working as National Director of Revenue Cycle where he managed five geographical markets with over 500 physicians across the United States. Prior to Tenet, Steve worked for the University of Chicago Physicians Group where he focused on optimizing revenue in a rapidly changing healthcare reimbursement environment. As Executive Director, Revenue Cycle, Steve will report to the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of WSUPG and will be a key contributor on the leadership team. He is responsible for the daily operations of all back-end revenue cycle activities and will collaborate and work closely with the Vice President, Clinical Operations and the team responsible for front-end revenue cycle activities. Steve will oversee the functions related to charge capture, coding and charge entry, either through an in-sourced or out-sourced arrangement. Steve will implement best practices and the latest trends in revenue cycle management to make improvements and drive results for WSUPG.
