The College of American Pathologists (CAP), is the leading organization of board-certified pathologists, which serves patients, pathologists, and the public by fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine worldwide. For 70 years, the CAP has advanced the practice of pathology and clinical laboratory science. As medicine, technology and pathology have evolved since 1946, the CAP has led the way to meet new challenges that result in better patient outcomes.
Devon has 20 years’ experience in healthcare with a unique blend of clinical and commercial pathology experience. During her career, she has been a technician, laboratory director, trainer/educator, salesperson and marketer. Most recently, she was an Independent Consultant supporting key players across pharma, diagnostics, biotech and life sciences industries. Previously, she was Senior Director, Personalized Healthcare, Clinical & Diagnostics Genomics Marketing at Qiagen in Germantown, Maryland. At CAP, Devon will be responsible for providing the vision and strategic leadership as well as building relationships to support practice management and membership and engagement programs. As a thought leader and key contributor, she will measurably strengthen practice engagement internally, Devon will also work externally with other organizations to advance the specialty.
