Kate Winter

Kate works closely with MVP clients to deliver a seamless, full-circle talent management programs that assure the right fit and development plan to help businesses grow and thrive. Most recently, Kate served as the Head of Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partner at SmithBucklin.  During her time at SmithBucklin, she was responsible for creating and implementing SmithBucklin’s overall talent acquisition strategy, which included implementation of both passive and active sourcing methods, innovative ways to attract talent and enhanced the candidate experience and branding. Kate led all executive level recruiting strategy, partnerships with internal stakeholders and execution of the searches.  Kate supported one of the company’s priorities to build diverse teams and to integrate the needs of a multidimensional workforce into their culture. Kate has experience with organizational and people-related strategy and leveraged these skills to enhance SmithBucklin’s existing offerings as well as co-created new talent related practices and programs.

Prior to joining SmithBucklin, Kate served as Senior Director of Talent and Development at Performics, a Publicis Groupe agency. She was responsible for managing and driving strategic and tactical aspects of talent acquisition, employee relations, talent management, compensation, and performance management nationwide. Prior to Performics, Kate worked at West Monroe Partners Consulting firm as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist with a focus on attracting and hiring top talent experienced and executive level searches as well as enhancing the talent brand within the marketplace. Kate began her career and built her talent acquisition and HR generalist foundation at Chicago Tribune Media Group.

She holds a B.A. in communications and business from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Kate resides in the Chicago metro area.  When she isn’t recruiting talent, Kate enjoys spending time with her two young boys, husband, and two fur babies.
